IMPORTANT: Please read prior to scheduling your appointment.

  • Security Deposit: Because we block out two hours for each appointment, we ask every client for a $200 refundable security deposit for a weekday appointment. It will be 100% REFUNDED back to you at your appointment as long as you don't cancel or reschedule within 14 days of your session.
  • ​​Plan for 2 Hours: Your whole experience at our studio will be about 2 hours, so please plan for that. Your portrait session takes about 30 minutes. Then there is a break as we prepare your images to see. And your selection time with our Art Director takes 45-60 minutes.
  • ​Full family gift option: To redeem your portrait gift, you may bring your full immediate family for the session. We always encourage family portraits as your best option because of the great impact they have for generations. If you choose to bring your family, we will also spend time photographing the two of you for your beautiful heirloom couple's portrait.
  • ​​Children: We have age guidelines to ensure we set your family up for a great experience! Please follow the calendar guidelines listed in the booking form as you secure your spot!
  • ​​What to Wear and Where to Go: After making your appointment, we will email you clothing information and directions to our studio in Ames, Iowa.
  • ​​​Pets: We love dogs, and know they are just as much a family member as anyone else. Pet sessions must include adult owners in the portraits and are scheduled on weekdays. We can include up to three dogs per session. We ask that they stay on leash at all time, unless directed otherwise by the photographer.
